Holding Them Close, Trusting His Rest

Life has a funny way of pressing pause on us when we least expect it, doesn't it?
One minute you're navigating the routine checklist—eye doctor appointments for the retina, managing the physical wear and tear of a aching back that requires medical attention—and the next minute, the world shifts beneath your feet. On Thursday, I got the heartbreaking news that one of my favorite uncles passed away.
It makes everything else come to an immediate halt.
Today is Friday, and while my heart is heavy, my spirit is anchored. I want to give God all the glory, through the good weeks and the sorrowful ones. This life is so fragile, and tomorrow isn’t promised to any of us. If there is someone on your heart today, please hold your loved ones close, check on them, and remind them just how much you love them while they are here to hear it.
On the business side, this week has been sort of slow for Ma’Lippie and Team. But looking back, God knew exactly what He was doing. He knew I needed the physical and mental rest to process everything coming down the pike. Sometimes He slows us down because if we won't take the rest ourselves, He has to grant it to us.
Resting, reflecting, and leaning into His grace this weekend. Hug your people tight, everyone.
