A Blessed Weekend and a Productive Start to the Week
Share
Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Mine was incredibly full—overflowing with church, family, delicious food, and a little business planning. Let me take you through my Sunday and how I’m kicking off this Monday.
Sunday’s Blessings: Church and Family
Yesterday was just amazing. We started our Sunday at New Temple Missionary Baptist Church, and the service was truly uplifting. The highlight of the day was celebrating our church father, Mr. Joiner, who just turned 90 years old! What a milestone and what a blessing it is to be part of such a loving church family.
After church, I got to visit my grandbabies. There is nothing quite like the joy and blessing they bring to my heart. Spending time with them is the best way to recharge.
Later, I had the bittersweet task of taking my grandson, Taylin, back home after an amazing weekend with us. But before he went home, he had a special Sunday request for "Gigi." He asked me to get him a Rubik's Cube! Of course, I made sure he got it. Watching him with it brought back so many memories of my own from years ago—it’s a classic for a reason!
We finally got back home with my wonderful husband and took some time to rewind after such a busy weekend. To top it all off, we sat down for a hearty, home-cooked Sunday dinner: BBQ Country Ribs, Cabbage, Field Peas, and cornbread, all washed down with a refreshing glass of lemonade. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
Monday’s Grind: Work and Planning
And just like that, it’s Monday again! This morning, I found myself sitting in the parking lot, waiting to clock in. I’ll be at work until 2 p.m., but my afternoon is already planned out.
First, I need to head to FedEx to pick up an order that wasn't delivered to the house on Saturday. After that, it’s straight home to do some serious brainstorming for my business, Malippie FashOn. I have some new ideas I'm excited to develop, and I can't wait to get started on them.
It's going to be a busy afternoon, but I'm looking forward to being productive. I hope you all have a fantastic and productive Monday as well!
